Yo Soy Borikén poster

Letterpress poster with hand cut linoleum illustration designed and printed to raise funds for the victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. The design celebrates the island’s rich indigenous history and natural beauty. A Taíno pictograph of a coquí frog is paired with the phrase Yo Soy Borikén. The word Borikén is the indigenous word for the island.

100% of proceeds will go to vulnerable, rural communities affected by the hurricane. I will be donating to Casa Pueblo (a non-profit organization committed to the protection of natural and cultural resources) and Taller Salud (a women’s health clinic dedicated to sexual health and violence prevention). I have also identified personal funds for families with Taíno ancestry that I wish to aid.

Posters will take 2–3 weeks to deliver. Local pickup or drop off in Boston area possible.

Posters measure 12″ x 16″ and are printed on 100lb Lettra letterpess paper. Printed at Union Press in Somerville, MA.
